The ‘Urban Squares’ series is an original abstract concept where Lauren explores the idea of the ‘individual’ and the ‘collective’. Her work features architectural patterns, which reflects her fascination with buildings; how they can stir emotions, conjure memories and how these feelings can develop into a ‘sense of place’.

Her artwork packs a punch; with flashes of neon, next to soft pastels, she uses acrylic paint and delicate gold-leaf to embellish every piece of artwork.

Lauren Bailes is currently collaborating with H.O.B Gallery on Beech Road in Chorlton Green, which is owned by the talented artist and photographer Jack Lloyd. Her original pieces are now on display and available to purchase in store.

C O M M I S S I O N S  

Commissions are welcome, which offer a tailor-made service to suit your space. Canvases are custom-made and there’s an array of frame choices. 

For additional level of bespoke, you can also specify the colour palette. The artist will take you through a colour consultancy process where the ‘Urban Squares’ series can be entirely customised to work with your interior décor.

I L L U S T R A T I O N S

With an appreciation for architecture and understanding of how buildings can form an emotional connection to us; Lauren offers a commission service where your favourite landmark, loved family home, or even Wedding venue can be illustrated.

Each illustration is hand-drawn and painted using inks, watercolours, gouache and gold-leaf. Features can be highlighted at your request, and colour schemes incorporated. Illustrations vary in size (either A4 or A3) and the illustration can be framed or unframed. Please get in touch for information on prices.
