Lauren Bailes’ work sits confidently at the intersection of architecture, emotion, and abstraction. Her ongoing Urban Squares series explores the relationship between the individual and the collective, using repeated architectural forms to reflect how buildings and the spaces we move through shape memory, feeling, and our sense of place.
Drawing inspiration from urban environments, Lauren’s paintings feature structured patterns softened by colour and texture. Flashes of neon sit alongside muted pastels, creating a visual tension that feels both bold and considered. Each piece is finished with acrylic paint and delicate gold leaf, adding depth and light that shifts as the work is viewed from different angles.
A selection of Lauren Bailes’ original artworks from the Urban Squares series is currently on display at H.O.B Gallery on Beech Road, Chorlton Green, where her work can be viewed in person and purchased in store.
Each piece displayed at H.O.B Gallery is presented in a bespoke tray-frame, finished in a vibrant fluorescent colour carefully chosen to complement the artwork. Every piece is an original and is available framed from £395.00.
The gallery is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week, with further visiting information available on the website.

Illustrations – Architecture with Emotional Detail
Alongside her abstract practice, Lauren also offers an illustration commission service rooted in her appreciation of architecture and the emotional connections we form with buildings.
Favourite landmarks, family homes, or meaningful locations — including wedding venues — can be transformed into hand-drawn and painted illustrations. Each piece is created using inks, watercolours, gouache, and gold leaf, with specific features highlighted at your request and colour schemes thoughtfully incorporated.
