“At H.O.B Studio in Manchester, I offer a bespoke picture framing service with expertly hand-finished frames made from the highest quality materials.
I use anti-glare glazing and acid-free conservation boards to protect and preserve both prints and original artworks.
All of my timbers are FSC-certified and available in a choice of hardwoods, softwoods, colours, and finishes. I also specialise in internal slip frames to give each piece a polished, professional presentation.
My aim is always to create framing that not only protects your art but enhances it for years to come.”

We only use sustainably sourced timbers directly supplied from the mill for our picture frames.

We use acid-free mounting boards and pH-neutral tapes to secure your artwork.

Each frame we make is hand-sanded, finished and waxed in our studio.

Low carbon footprint
“I take pride in creating sustainable picture frames that showcase artwork beautifully while staying environmentally responsible. I never use timber from countries with questionable forestry or labour practices — instead, I work only with premium European wood. Each frame is crafted by hand using traditional tools and techniques, often powered simply by hand or foot.
With my workshop on-site in Chorlton, Manchester, you can see the care, precision, and craftsmanship that goes into every bespoke frame I make.”

We supply all our limited edition prints on fine art matt paper using a giclee process to ensure the highest colour rendition and print longevity.

Whether you are looking for a premium poster style box frame or a hand-made hard wood baroque swept frame with plaster cast corner details, we have you covered.
We can offer with or without a mount surround and all our frames are sprayed here in our workshop with over 100 colours to choose from.
Thats right, after the timber arrives from the mill, we cut and assemble the frame before sanding and spraying, ensuring every frame is bespoke fitted to each piece of art.
